Treaty Project: Project on the Effort to Elaborate an International Instrument on Business and Human Rights

Welcome to the CPE Treaty Project: Project on the Effort to Elaborate an International Instrument on Business and Human Rights.

From this page one can access research and analytical materials relating to the “open-ended intergovernmental working group with the objective of elaborating an international legally binding instrument on Transnational Corporations and Other Business Enterprises with respect to human rights” and the project of producing such a comprehensive treaty on business and human rights.  Alternatives frameworks for such a project are also developed. Our hope is to broaden the discussion to include more the an the usual insiders who tend to drive these processes.  We invite everyone with an interest to make use of the materials to more effectively participate in this open ended project. We welcome additional contributions, engagement, and other opportunities to expand engagement and effective interventions with those who have control of this process.
